Sprinkle magic

Local Brunswick girl Sprinkle has added some fun and feminine designs to her Autumn/Winter collection:

Alas, although Sprinkle has a fabulous hourglass figure and makes clothes for curvaceous women, I think I'd need to lose a bit of weight to fit into them. Boooo!

Emily Burningham

I love these fabrics by Emily Burningham - reminiscent of pretty 1930s designs:

The Steel Fork

I just found this lovely blog, but I haven't had time to browse in it properly ....  looks like a keeper for a rainy day.

Via The Steel Fork I discovered the beautiful farm-and-food themed photography of Jonathan Levitt. Dreamy!

Little bear

You may be aware that our dog Gus is a dedicated treehugger.

I took a couple of short videos of him at a local park the other day.... you can watch him climb one of his favourite trees here, here and here.

(you might have to turn your head or your laptop on the side for the first clip ... sorry!)

Radioactive cat

Our poor little Emmy is in the vet hospital receiving radiation therapy for an illness .... when she comes home next week we won't be able to let her inside or cuddle her for more than 30 minutes a day 'cause she'll still be radioactive!

....  I wonder if she might develop a secret super-hero identity?

Loopy!

Recently I was walking Gus in the wonderfully golden sunlight that characterises autumn evenings in Melbourne. The streets were quiet and peaceful, with the heady scent of nectar filling the air, and I was thinking about how much I like this little inner-city suburb....

As I passed a little old bluestone laneway I saw a group of bright young things chatting and relaxing in the sunlight. One of them was very adeptly hula hooping, keeping 4 hoops in motion as she talked. It was an unexpected sight but somehow perfect in the warm, dozy evening light....

It made me smile.
